RYA Marine Radio Short Range Certificate (SRC)

Courses available for the RYA Marine Radio Short Range Certificate (SRC) it is the minimum qualification required to operate marine VHF radio equipment on a UK flagged vessel. This includes both fixed and handheld equipment with and without Digital Selective Calling (DSC), you will learn a huge amount about safety at sea as well.

A 2 day course

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Must have learnt the phonetic alphabet prior to the course

MINIMUM AGE

Minimum age: 16 yrs

COST

Cost: £135 members £165 non-members (£50 deposit required) which includes RYA VHF handbook & tuition

£70 to be paid for assessment and certificate direct to the RYA

• Notebook and pen
• Packed lunch (extra snacks/drinks available when club bar is open)
