RYA Marine Radio (SRC)
AIM
RYA VHF & DSC (MCA Recognised) The RYA Marine Radio Short Range Certificate (SRC) is the minimum qualification required to operate marine VHF radio equipment on a UK flagged vessel. This includes both fixed and handheld equipment with and without Digital Selective Calling (DSC), you will learn a huge amount about safety at sea as well.

A 2 day course
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Must have learnt the phonetic alphabet prior to the course
MINIMUM AGE
Minimum age: 16 yrs
COST
Cost: For the course, £135 members £165 non-members (£50 deposit required) which includes RYA VHF handbook & tuition
For the exam, £70 to be paid for assessment and certificate direct to the RYA details can be found here
YOU NEED TO BRING
- Notebook and pen
- Packed lunch (extra snacks/drinks available when club bar is open)
