19th to 22nd August (3 day Competent Crew)
RYA Competent Crew 3 Day *This course is for those who have completed a RYA Start Yachting Course*
This course is for beginners and those who would like to become active crew members rather than just passengers.
Experience living on board and really get to know the boat. Virtually all the course is hands on. You are the crew - without you, the sails won't go up and the boat won't be steered.
By the end of the course, you should be able to steer, handle sails, keep a lookout, row a dinghy and assist in all day to day duties on board. You will also have visited some interesting places and had an enjoyable holiday.

3-day residential course on a yacht.
One Instructor to 4 students. The booking is limited to 3 therefore if you are booking as a couple or wouldn't mind sharing a small berth with the other person you are booking with, please book one place and then email training@exe-sailing-club.org to book the other.
Starting at 1700 on the first day and finishing around 1700 on the last.
Cost: £350 members £400 non-members (£100 deposit required)
Minimum age: 18yrs
You will need:
Waterproofs and warm clothes
None marking shoes
Sleeping bag and pillow
Notebook and pen
Base of operations, Exe Sailing Club, max ratio of 1 instructor to 4 students.
